Personal Computer Games
Personal computer games, or PC games, is a form of entertainment media allowing players to interact with a PC connected to a high-resolution video monitor. PC games have evolved from the simple graphics and game-play of the classic game “Spacewar!” to more complex titles of the modern gaming era. With the application of the Internet, PC games became highly playable by more than one gamers via local area network (LAN) or wide area network (WAN) gaming.

Game software for PC games are either stored in discs or downloaded from the Internet. PC games often require specialised components in the user’s computer unit to enable proper processing of graphics, images, and sounds. In addition, gamers need a reliable Internet connection for online play. It is normal for avid PC gamers to upgrade the basic personal computer parts such as the video and audio cards, random access memory (RAM), and microprocessor.
