Testing the Game
Testers are hired to play the initial version of the game, called alpha, repeatedly and spot errors, also called “bugs.” Errors are prioritised according to their intensity. Fatal bugs are resolved promptly while minor bugs are assessed whether or not they affect the game’s second release, beta version.

Checking for errors
A minor bug that adversely affects second release is resolved immediately. Once a problem is discovered, a detailed report is submitted to the developers who will correct the errors. After addressing major flaws, a beta version is released usually to a large group of testers or the general public. The beta version undergoes more intensified testing, fixing, and re-releasing until developers are contented and certain that the game is ready for the mainstream.
