The ESRB creates an unbiased, standardised rating system to assess whether a video game is suitable for a child or not. To optimise ESRB ratings, one must check content descriptors used by the ESRB on the back of a game package.

The descriptor, “Some Adult Assistance May Be Needed,” is only used for games with the symbol EC, or early childhood.
